my new baby….

My husband is a mighty fine man, and surprised me on my birthday with a MacBook. That I am officially blogging from RIGHT NOW! Oh be still my heart!!! I have wanted one of these baby’s since I tried a mac out. The statement is so true: “Once you go mac, you can’t go back”. So I here name this mac book “Baby Mac” because its cute and tiny! Now I’ve got to find a nice {pink} case for it, to match the iphone. {Insert: I LOVE APPLE!}

 Thanks you Hubs!! You always make all my dreams come true.

Yesterday was a very fun-filled day. Birthdays are so awesome, you always feel loved and special on your birthday, its great! And thank you to EVERYONE who wished me a “happy birthday” I loved every single comment, twitter, facebook comment, etc. I read them all and if you haven’t gotten a personal thank you from me yet, its just because I’m a little behind on the emails right now, but it really meant a lot to me. Ya’ll are awesome!! {Do I say awesome a lot? Hmm…}

In other news, today’s running schedule calls for a 4 miler, which I plan to get in after work. Hope you all are having a healthy, active week so far!

I’m pretty sure I blinked and this week disappeared!

If I didn’t take pictures of {almost} everything that goes in a day, I’d totally forget what happened this past weekend…

So here we go!

Saturday morning I skipped my regularly scheduled workout of Wholyfit, to go run the track at the local high school with Hubs. We did great, it started to get hot and after about 2.5 miles, we were ready for A/C!

We had a Graduation to go to, and I loved how the rain decided to show up right before the outside graduation. Thank you Houston Weather. {blah}

That evening was my 4 year old nephew’s birthday party at PUMP IT UP. 

That place is crazy… you know those huge inflatable bouncing things? Yeah, its like that times 10… even Adults can play.

After Pump It Up we headed out to Mamasitas with friends and family. It’s an AWESOME Mexican food place, with a whole section just for Vegetarian options. LOVE IT.

The Birthday Boys {for May} got surprised with Dessert and Sombreros!

Sunday was a great day at church and my sister-in-law’s mom’s house for a Memorial Day get together, SUCH GOOD FOOD… but I forgot to take pictures. :\ Bummer..

After the party, we headed out for Dallas!… Hubs had work to do up there, and I got to make a trip to Whole Foods Market, score!

Dallas at night going 80 MPH… don’t worry, I wasn’t driving

We got in late that Sunday night, I totally crashed and hubs started working…

The next morning, we had breakfast at the hotel, tasty eggs and potato deluxe {free} breakfast.

I was so proud of myself in Dallas, I NEVER drive around cities when we’re visiting, I know Houston and that’s IT. But since Hubs would be working all day long and I really wanted to hit up Whole Foods, since it was only 10 minutes away… I braved the unknown roads. 

Found a Starbucks…

a quiet little table, just me, tea and my calendar…  the calendar that I normally write down every upcoming event in, but since “I Do” I’ve been busy-city and have forgotten… so… sorry if I missed your birthday or something.. :\

After my little stop at Starbucks, I ventured off to Whole Foods…

and found this aisle, that I pretty much jumped up and down over…

Hello yummy bars!

Hubs and I did have lunch at Whole Foods, have you ever eaten there? It’s AMAZING, no joke.

My honey LOVES it, they have so much to choose from and everything taste so fresh and delicious!

I had this awesome Salad, and look at me, I tried their Tofu, and loved it!

I bought a lot of goodies that I normally can’t get at my local grocery store…

this was taken at home of course, I’m not crazy, I didn’t lay my stuff out at the store.

got this for hubs to try, I’ll let you know what he thinks, they had Almond Butter packs too

and of course Z BARS! These are Blueberry, Peanut Butter & Apple Cinnamon, I’ve never see them before else where…

So after the grocery trip and Hubs finished up his work, we packed up and got ready to head home… just as we were barely out of Dallas… just barely… we got a FLAT TIRE. {and I don’t mean the drink…}

Oh yeah, it was totally nutso. At least were weren’t in no-mans-land. 

We quickly found a Gas Station, and thank you Lord for “FIX-A-FLAT”.

Sheesh.

Gotta love the iPhone, because we found a Wal-Mart Tire and Lube, all other places like Discount Tire, Good Year, etc were closed because it was a Holiday {remember, we’re still talking about just Monday here…}

The kind people at Wal-Mart Tire and Lube said they’d have it fixed in 30 minutes…

2 hours later we were headed back on the road.

After many songs, podcasts, way too many icky potties… We finally arrived home from Dallas at 11:30-ish. Good Times ya’ll.

Tuesday, was a pretty normal day, just insert a lot of yawning and blinking.

We went to a concert that evening with our friends Greg and Melissa..

 They’re such a fun couple!

Good concert, good friends, good times. Love it!

Wednesday seriously flew by, I keep telling people today is Wednesday, {it’s Thursday right?}…

Well Hello Monday!

Hope everyone had a fab-o weekend!

Ours was quite nice, thank you all for the sweet birthday wishes to hubs.  

Saturday was pretty normal for me in the morning… Got on Wholyfit on, then ran some errands for hubs birthday weekend festivities!

Saturday night Hubs and I went to dinner with some friends

{Hi Friends!! Thanks for coming!}  

and I found the necklace I’d been hunting for all week

and the bread that had a smiley face

Sunday was my husbands actual birthday, I got up early before he work up and make him French Toast {as requested} with powdered sugar on the side, syrup, and his favorite hot tea!

and in the afternoon, we had the family over for cake and presents!..

The cake was AMAZING!! {yes, I had a small piece} Thanks Janice, you’re the best!!

Then the boys finished off the party with some Wii!

I can tell you this, by the end of Sunday, I was SO tired, I think I crashed about 10:00pm.

And with this morning being rushed, I’m finally getting a chance to blog and then go workout, the weather is AMAZING here, did I wake up in the wrong city? It’s so random. I LOVE IT!

Today is my Husbands Birthday…

I absolutely love this man. I adore him.

He’s fun, super hott, energetic, sweet and silly.

When I say everyday is an adventure with him, I mean it…

and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
