Gnocchi, oh my!

Yesterday was our One Year Anniversary. :)

We went to a tasty Italian restaurant…

called Maggiano’s Little Italy. It was beyond delicious!

I got the Gnocchi. I’ve always seen it in the grocery store, but was too leery trying it so I never had Gnocchi before and I decided it’d be a good time to try it…

it was amazing! It was in a pesto sauce, had olives, sun-dried tomatoes, asparagus, and spinach. SUPER delicious. It was a huge plate, I barely did any damage to it, I took the rest home. Hubs got the baked ziti and his was the same way, amazingly good and amazingly huge, he took his home too. YEA for left-overs. :)

So now that I know I like Gnocchi, I’m going to buy it next time in the grocery store. I’m going to have to find a great recipe! Anyone have a good one? Ever try Gnocchi before?

Oh and also, my pink camera completely died… I mean DIED! It was so sad.. I had to borrow my sisters camera for our cruise. So I was completely thrilled when my awesome husband surprised me with this gem…

he knows my love for photography and that I was having with-drawls without a camera.

YEA! Say hello to Mr. Red. :)

Click-Click! Snap-Snap!

I love the camera on the iPhone and often I find some of the most random pictures, which I bring to you today for your random enjoyment…

I want these flowers…like, now.

I hurt my thumb, and apparently loved my barbie bandaid :)

Germ-X. Don’t leave home without it.

Who else accidentally takes a pic of their screen? So Guilty.

Cutest puppy EVER! I want to steal hug him.

Shirt I should’ve bought, because I’ll never find it again now.

and of course the newest addition to my collection :)

Have you ever looked through your pictures and found some random shots? Do share…

I’m pretty stoked! You’ll be seeing a lot of GREEN smoothies over the next few weeks, and I’m really anxious to try out their bars.

Wednesday was a pretty fab-o day, went to a strength training class at 24 hour fitness.

It had me sweatin’ more than an hour sauna sit while eating hot sauce!… I’m just sayin’.

It was hardcore. But I feel good! Even took the time to get in a 2-mile walk with my sister {it was about 3pm, really hot out to run, so we fast-walked, its thrilling, really…} and then an evening walk with my honey.

Wednesday was so WORKOUT day. I love it.

Picture time!!

The Race for the Pennant photos are now online at Your Sporting Image

You can see the official race photos of us here, and here of my hardcore running honey, and can’t forget my sis and bro photos :)

Ah, good times, good times!

and THANK YOU everyone for all your sweet comments and encouragingness {is that a word?!} on yesterdays post, I heart you all. :)

Can you believe the weekend is almost here!? Whoop! I’m ready for it, and tomorrow is Good Deals Friday and baby, I’ve found some DEALS

So tell me, how many days in a row do you WORKOUT and how many days do you REST?

Smoothies and Randomness

I woke up this morning with a sore throat.

ugh.

I was hungry, but wanted something really smooth and delicious. SMOOTHIE!

{Photo Source Here. I should have taken a picture… but I downed it quickly}

Normally when I make a fruit smoothie, I have apple juice to add so its not so thick.
Today, not the case.
So I got creative and used fresh squeezed Orange Juice and Grapefruit Juice.

Smoothie ingredients:

  • One whole Orange, freshly squeezed
  • One whole Grapefruit, freshly squeezed
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon of Agave Nector

and TA-DA! Delicious is made. Popped some vitamins for the day and now I’m on to my Green Tea, ah… feeling a bit little already.

In other randomness, I was looking through my iPhone and found a bunch of pictures I’ve been meaning to share with you:

championThese are my new Champion capri’s from OuterSports! Thanks Outersports, I love them :)

lunaI tried the Strawberry Crumble from LUNA Sunrise, pretty tasty, roughly 170 calories, a little too sweet for me in the morning, but otherwise really Yummy!

lunchI made a super amazing lunch the other day, a Veggie Pita Sandwich.
The sandwich included: Whole Wheat Pita Bread, Soy Ranch Dip, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Carrots and salt/pepper to taste.
It was amazing! Warmed up the Pita bread a bit and the sandwich was heavenly. You should try it!

The last photo I found, that absolutely cracked me up:
mMy 6 year old Niece has learned how to work my iPhone and take it out of my purse when I’m not looking. There were a ton of very random photos, of her, of popcorn she was eating, of the carpet, stairs, brothers and dog. It’s hilarious. Love that little girl. :)

So tell me, what do you do when you start to feel sick?
