The Container Store, The Woodlands

I was invited to a Blogger Preview Party at the new Container Store opening this Saturday in The Woodlands.

The Container Store is an organized person’s dream world. There is everything for everything to keep everything neat and tidy! (You can quote me on that.)

I had no idea that The Container Store began in Texas!

On July 1, 1978, The Container Store opened its doors in a 1,600 square foot retail space in Dallas. The first store was filled with products that consumers couldn’t find in any other retail environment. They were things like commercial parts bins, mailboxes, popcorn tins, burger baskets, milk crates and wire leaf burners. The product collection was quite unusual, but when used in a home or office, the solutions saved customers space and, ultimately, time. {Source}

Just walking around the store, alone made me want to get my house in organized shape! They even have a gift registry now for Weddings, Baby, Graduation, Housewarming, etc!

Easy Peesy!

I personally loved all the food containers and water bottles…

Love the portion control containers! Makes Healthy Living that much easier.

There was also a Christmas Wish List find!

A beautiful place to store all your tea. Isn’t that just so fancy? ;)

Have you ever been in a Container Store? What’s your favorite part?

If you could pick one room in your house to completely organize, which would it be?

This and That and Whatnot

Sometimes you just have to be random… and that is exactly what this post is all about.

Couple of things to mention…

I got new kicks…

They’re comfortable… but they’re kind of out of my comfort-zone. I don’t normally wear black shoes… they make my white legs, look… well white. BUT they fit great, comfortable, great price (Thank you Academy) and I just couldn’t bring myself to buy the same pair (different color, grey) for 40% more. I like a good deal. But one thing I do like about these shoes is they feel hardcore… so they make me want to be an athlete, and push myself to go harder. Win-win! ;)

Next… because I just don’t talk about it enough. This is yet another yesterday I love green tea

Gotta love all the ingredients. ;)

And last, I needed to do something about the hot-mess my jewelry box was becoming… so I did this…

After hanging all the necklaces, my jewelry box had plenty of room to breath and have some method to the madness. And here all this time I thought I didn’t have many necklaces… well… scratch that. This lovely wall hook came from Target. For $13.99, you can have one too!

So your turn, tell me 3 random things about you or that you’ve done this week?

Cleanliness is next to Godliness

It was my mission to tackle some of the clutter in my house this weekend.

I seriously cannot think in a cluttered messy room. My closet has been one big wreck lately. I finally went through all the clothes and took out all the ones I was going to giveaway and started to organize the randomness.

I turned on pandora and got movin’!

Organizing jewelry is the most annoying thing to me… I need a jewelry box…

Its scarf weather now! :)

Much better.

Next project is organizing the guest bedroom. That room overwhelms me so much… for that I need to call in back up!

Anyone else have a room or area in your house that makes you cringe?

Spring Cleaning

springflowersSpring is here!

Along with the gorgeous weather (ha! Houston weather is so sporadic), pretty bright flowers and an overwhelming desire to organize everything in sight!

Now that all my things have successfully been moved into Hubs (new nickname for my darling Husband) house and the monster mountain of laundry is coming together. I’m wanting to get things organized, cleaned up and cleaned out. I’m thinking a garage is in our near future.

Along with getting the house in order, I’m giving this site, Team Giles a nice little makeover. What do you think so far?

What are some of your Spring Cleaning Adventures? Re-organizing the garage? (Hubs is doing a fab-o job of this one) Tackling that closet that keeps you awake at night? Organizing the Kitchen cabinets? Or maybe finally cleaning out your car… (I know, I know… this one always gets me too) So share your thoughts, plans, ideas and hopes for your Spring Cleaning!
