To iPod or Not to iPod…

That is the question.

When you run do you listen to music or not? I don’t. when I first started running I did, and it was all loads of a mess. I was always worried about which song was on, how the cord annoyed me, the headphones would move, etc. etc.  Just a mess.

So one day I decided to run without.

And it was bliss.

I loved the sound of my feet moving and everything you hear outside. I felt safer knowing I could hear if a car was coming or someone coming up behind me and if I needed to back-hand them say hi.

I especially enjoy running a race musicless, there’s so much going on and you miss out on it when running with music I think.

I know it works for me and for others it does.

But the question is…

Do you run with or without music? Do tell.

La’s Pick of the Week:

I had every intention of posting a “pick of the week” every week… and um.. I’m slacked… my bad. I BLAME Hurricane Ike!! :)

But anyway, one of my pick’s this week is the new Jimmy Needham CD. If you haven’t heard it… go to itunes and get a taste of it. It’s lovely. One of my favorite songs is “Firefly”, which is on my myspace page right now, its a very cute, feel-good-happy song.
