I’ve been wanting to finish projects I’ve started. Painting my laundry room being one of them. The painting is done…
You like? Ah, damask.
You know I love me some damask. I’ve got some organizing to do, curtains and baskets to buy and then I’ll be done! Woo! Then I can make this baby off the to-do list!
“You can do anything for 2 minutes!”
I say this phrase a lot in bootcamp. Just ask the ladies.
It’s said during those exercises that hurt, that sting, the ones that makes your body scream at you to immediately stop this craziness that you’re doing. But it’s in those 2 minutes of hardcore exercise that your body is becoming stronger and NEEDS this workout.
“You can do anything for 2 minutes!”
I tell myself this when I’m running. I know that normally I’m going to be running longer than 2 minutes, so sometimes its “You can do anything for 5 minutes, for 10 minutes, for 20 minutes, for 30 minutes, for an hour.” Whatever the activity may be. I tell myself that I CAN DO THIS.
I find that breaking up an exercise into time increments helps not only the time pass quickly, but mentally I can wrap my brain around it and tackle the task head on.
I could go on and on. Looking at exercise in this way, helps me get my booty out there and break a sweat, instead of looking at a whole hour workout and feeling intimidated. No, I can do ANYTHING for 2 minutes and 2 minutes turns into 10, that turns into 20, that turns into an hour.
What do you do to help you get your fitness on?
