Time to Relax
In our master bathroom, I’ve been working hard to create an organized, calm, beautiful atmosphere.
You know when you go to a gorgeous hotel and the bathroom has spa-like presence about it? Yeah, that’s what I want!
I added this above on of the doors…
Pretty huh? Ah, I love it. Sometimes you just need to relax, refresh and renew, and soak your cares away.
and if you just ran, you probably should add some epsom salt to that soaking. Just sayin‘. 
I have a Green Thumb

or um… trying to have one.
I’ve never been a gardener, been into gardening, the dirt, the bugs, the weeds, nor have do I really even like getting my hands dirty.
But, I love beautiful yards, with bright gorgeous flower beds and lovely garden fixtures. Oh how I envy the neighbors fabulous yard and was even more envious when the “YARD OF THE MONTH” sign went up.
Envy = Green. right? Not so much.
SO! I decided to get over myself {which was the only thing in my way} and take on this {what feels like} huge task of creating a beautiful yard.
Now its not much, but boy did it feel like I did a lot… this is my process so far…

I know it doesn’t look like much.. but its a big ol’ accomplishment for me!
I also love, love, love roses and got this climbing rose to plant on the side of the house:
Isn’t she lovely?
Roses are my favorites. I’d love to have a whole yard of roses everywhere.
I also made a wreath for the front door…
what a domesticated diva I am. 
My wreath needs a bow desperately, and that is yet another skill I lack. Maybe I should go to bow-making school? Hmm…
Pottery Barn wannabe

So last week I went to a re-sale home decor event here and bought a few things for the house, this beautiful picture for $12.00 and some throw pillows for the couch, whatcha think?…
The before picture… and don’t mind the nerdalert in front of the couch… this was seriously the only picture I found of the “before” of the living room”…
The after so far. I know the picture isn’t centered, I wanted to get it up there just to see what it’d look like and used the nail already there, I promise I’m not crazy I’m thinking some pretty wall sconces on both sides of the picture, whatcha think? Like the pillow too? That was from the sale. Its red and tan, matches our red and tan couches.
I really like the simplistic look. Pottery Barn is seriously my style of choice, I love their expresso colors and simplistic looks, but since Pottery Barn is insanely overpriced more than than I want to spend.. I’m seeing a Hobby Lobby trip in my near future…
