It’s all about the Rodeo

Last week was Spring Break here, and it was also Rodeo season…

Hubs and I went to the Rodeo on Monday and Thursday night.

Monday night we saw Lady Antebellum play…

It was a gorgeous Spring day that afternoon. Absolutely loved it.

We watched the rodeo go on, which honestly, I’m not too thrilled with, I think its not fair to the animals and the “cowboys” are way too rough with the animals. I’m just sayin’.

However, the kids mutton bustin’ is hilarious…. I laughed, hard. This kid below obviously wasn’t too thrilled either…

The stadium is huge… we had nice seats :)

Lady A began and did a good job, not the most amazing concert I’ve seen, but they sounded just as good as they do on the radio. YEA for good singers.

We left before the concert ended and headed home.

Thursday we went to see the Black Eyed Peas play…

We got to the Rodeo earlier on Thursday to see some of the other things at the rodeo…

Especially the bunnies :) Isn’t he cute?

Hubs wearin’ his boots… he can be so country ;)

Lil’sis and I posing in front of a pretty car… that you can’t even see…

And then the Black Eyed Peas started…

Best. Concert.

Ever!

That night was fun! Loud… but fun!

The Rodeo goes on for about 3 weeks here {correct me if I’m wrong} and we made it to two of the shows. I say that’s pretty good. ;) And about all the country I can take! Oh and side note, there is nothing at ALL Healthy at the rodeo to eat… its pretty much impossible. The place smells like fried… everything! Its crazy. It needs a healthy over-haul for sure.

What did you do during Spring Break?

Night with the Rockets

Saturday night my husband and I went with his Dad and brother to the Houston Rockets Game. Oh what a game it was!

It was the Rockets vs. Knicks game.

We had fantastic seats {we could touch the court… woo!}

I love basketball. I cheer, hop around and scream like crazy. It’s so much fun!

And The Rockets won. :)

Oh autumn, how I love thee.

Yeah, no. That’s not where I live.  But as the autumn season approaches, I close my eyes and pretend its like that, and I’m wearing a comfy hoodie because its chilly outside.  I’ve come to accept that I live in Texas, land of humidity, and that’s the way the cookie crumbles. :)

The weather will change {Please God let it change} and all the Fall festivities will come with it. I love when September gets here because SO many fun things are in store, such as…

  • My Birthday {Have I mentioned this yet? Hmm}
  • 10 for Texas {Bring it!}
  • Halloween {Think I’d make a good “Lil’ Red Riding Hood”}
  • 5k Morning of Thanksgiving
  • Thanksgiving Family Fun
  • Black Friday {Sissy & I get up at crack O’dawn and shop! Our fav}
  • Christmas Dress decorating {that same weekend}
  • Christmas Parties
  • Me & Hubs Gingerbread decorating tridition
  • Our FIRST Christmas {together as a married couple}
  • Then HAPPY NEW YEAR :)

So see… my Birthday {and all you September birthdays, Hi Ya’ll!} really does kick-off so many great events.

Oh and not to leave out my Sissy’s favorite thing,

Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte

Nothing shouts “FALL IS HERE” like walking into a starbucks and smelling Pumpkin Spice Lattes everywhere. Mmm! I’ll stick to drinking my tea, but if Starbucks wanted to make a candle called Pumpkin Spice Latte, I’m all over that baby!

So tell me, what do you enjoy about Autumn? What are some events coming up that you’re exciting about this fall?

Weekend Recap: shopping, floating and the Winner!

Good Morning ya’ll!
Hope your weekend was great! Mine was mighty eventful.

Friday got off work at Noon and hubs and I left right away to head to San Marcos for some outlet shopping! :)

photo

It was a gorgeous drive.. along the way we stopped at Luling, TX so Hubs could eat at his childhood favorite place…

He loved it. I was totally grossed out glad he got to stop at his favorite place.

It was nice and hot at the San Marcos outlet, I walked all over while decided to stay in the A/C at Starbucks

I love this picture. :) My favorite person at my favorite place.

Since I didn’t want Hubs to wait around forever, I was hustling at the outlet to hit all the stores I wanted to see… I was breakin’ a sweat lemme tell ya. Shopping is hard work. ;)

That night we met up with our friends

and went to Chuy’s Hula Hut, very tasty food! Good times.

Saturday morning, we headed out to the river, waited on the rest of the group to get there. We floated the Comal River. The rive was FREEZING, which felt amazing when you’ve been standing in hot humidity all morning. My friend Ashley brought a water-proof camera, so once I get those pictures from her, I’ll have to post them. :)

After the river we grabbed some dinner and headed back home. Fun trip!

Sunday, was nice and mellow. Church in the morning, we went to the second service, so we could catch some extra sleep. Second service always feels like the flies by then. So I made sure I got my errands done quickly {I love target, just so ya know} and then started getting the house back in order. Amazing how much laundry can pile up in a week. Sheesh! Anyone else have that problem? I’m thinking laundry should be banned and new clothes should be bought instead, any takers?!

So now what you’ve all been waiting for…

The WINNER of the VitaTop Giveaway is…
