My Favorite Things + Giveaway Winner Announced

Have you ever watched one of Oprah’s “Favorite Things” shows? Gosh, I love it. It’s fun to see what she comes up with. Now, I’m not Oprah and as much as I’d love to give you all the things I’m about to mention… that’s just not happening today. BUT, I hope you enjoy anyway and maybe you’ll get an idea of what to buy for someone, too!

The BEST workout pant I have ever owned, bar none. I absolutely love these pants and often wear them almost at every workout, which means I wash them nightly and then use them the next day. That’s a lot of washes and they still look fantastic. The perfect blend of tightness and looseness in these. I think you’ll love them!

I’m in love with this purse. I got this back a few months ago and it’s perfect! It’s classy and sophisticated. Two of my favorite combinations.

I’ve talked about Champion’s new line of shape workout wear, it really is super awesome. It’s comfortable and yet holds it all together for you. Definitely my favorite capri’s to go running in.

Now I don’t own this top. But I want to! My sister is a personal stylist at jcrew and rocks an awesome chambray look from them. I also love how Lilly from Lilly’s Style, styled her look with a chambray top…

See, I think every girl needs a good Chambray top in their life.

This is an excellent for stocking stuffers. I love me some Stila! I use it every day and have multiple colors, too. The gift packs right now for the Christmas season are a very good deal!

I absolutely fell in love with this necklace (and bracelet) from Stella&Dot. My friend Laura is an Independent consultant for Stella&Dot and had a Truck Show one evening and when I saw this bracelet, I had to have it. When I found out there was a matching necklace, it went right on my wish list and soon that baby was mine too. I love statement jewelry paired with simple outfits. Now, the necklace I have on it no longer available. But they still have tons of gorgeous statement necklaces that I think you or any lovely lady would love to have.

Have you tried Essie nail polish yet? It really is THE BEST nail polish out there. I have no idea what they do, but their colors are amazing, vibrate and it stays on for a long time. Gotta love that! This is a great stocking stuffer idea too!

Because Siri is awesome.

And don’t forget the dog!!

Happy Shopping, friends!!

Weekend Inspiration

Does She Run Anymore?

Race season is upon us, and I’m not signed up for one single race. That’s a bit different than the past couple yearsso what’s my deal? Well a few things…

  1. My knees have been hurting me on and off. I went to see my Doctor and she suggested I see the Physical Therapist. The PT said that I needed to get an x-ray done and see whats happening… it seems that my cartilage is worn down and I need to “take it easy” plus physical therapy. Eh, I can handle that.
  2. I haven’t wanted to run. Like, at all. The heat this summer has been bananas, and my desire to run has slowly been leaving me. I have gotten a good run on the treadmill, but that just doesn’t compare to pounding the pavement. So my running mo-jo has faded.
I did go running a few nights ago, literally a half mile run and then walked the rest.. but it felt good to move quickly. It felt good to clear my head in a way that only running can do. Afterwards, no knee pain, and I was pleased with that. The weather is starting to finally feel like fall around here and the desire to “Go for a run“, is increasing. In fact, I even said to Hubs “I think Taxi and I will go for a run tonight.” Obviously the gorgeous cooler weather sparks the desire to run. As well as hearing about all the upcoming races – that I’m in no way trained for! All that to say… Yes, I’m still running, just kind of been on the back burner and slowly getting back into the game.
What races are you signed up to run? Have you ever lost your running mo-jo?
