I just loved each post, so unique in its own way. Didn’t ya’ll just enjoy those? Such good stuff.
Hubs and I went on a mini-vacation this last weekend.
We were going to go on a cruise. “We were going to” is the key phrase. That plan was changed at the last minute, because that’s how we roll.
We went to San Antonio instead…
I had never been to San A, and we picked it because it was the only place that the weather was 80 degrees and sunny… and drive-able.
It was quite beautiful…
We relaxed…
Had good food…
and got our fitness on…
Good times.
Remember a few post back I was talking about Stonyfield Farms Yogurt? I also talked about some recipes I want to try.
Well, I FINALLY went to the grocery store (with a LIST) and got the ingredients to try some of those recipes. Fingers crossed that I can pull them off. I’m not the best at following instructions when it comes to cooking.
I wanted you to have a chance to try Stonyfield’s tasty Whole Milk yogurt and the lovely Kristina at Stonyfield Farms has offered one Team Giles reader a chance to win this…
- Reusable grocery bag
- Four (4) FREE yogurt coupons

yay! I lived in SA for 4.5 years and loved it there! Also, there are some great banana bread recipes online for “Sour Cream Banana Bread” and I bet with a couple tries (for me probably more than that…) you could do something really tasty and low cal!

I have yogurt for breakfast every weekday morning – with granola and fresh berries mixed in. I’ve also used plain yogurt in mashed potatoes to make them creamier, instead of sour cream.
I’ve never been to San Antonio (or Texas for that matter) – I’ve heard it’s a beautiful city!

I’ve only been to San Antonio once for a short short trip (for a wedding). Didn’t really get to do and see much. I have friends who live there so I should really go back!
I like to make a yogurt mess: Greek yogurt, bananas, PB, cinnamon, stevia and granola. YUM

hooray for a fun weekend in SA! (now for a fun Memorial Day weekend in Dallas area???
ahem.)
I love to eat my yogurt with something CRUNCHY! My favorite yogurt bowl I’ve ever made included almond slivers, a ripe, juicy, plum, half a muffin, and a sprinkling of raw oats. SO DELICIOUS
Yea for a great trip! I love San Antonio and wish I could get there more often. Will we hear more about your health retreat?
I love yogurt in the afternoon. I have several other morning snacks, so I like to throw some Fiber 1 into my yogurt to give it texture and some extra health benefits.

So glad you had fun!! I love San Antonio, and it’s such a quick and easy trip from Houston.
I bring yogurt very often for snacks at work. In fact, I had a chobani strawberry not too long ago.

Ah! I love yogurt – especially Greek yogurt! And I love it with ground flax seed and fresh fruit (any kind!!) I haven’t tried it in baking yet, but I definitely want to.

I cannot believe you had never been to San Antonio!!! Remember the Alamo?
Glad y’all had a nice, relaxing time. Some of the best vacations are right in your own back yard. It’s all about slowing down and enjoying yourself – not the destination. (although SA is a GREAT destination!)
Glad you had a good time!

i love that you are spontaneous enough to change plans! i am not so great with that. I’ve only been to SA once but your trip looks way more fun!

My favorite (and recently discovered) way to eat Yogurt is in pancakes! It makes them so much more filling and moist! My second favorite way – and maybe still actually my favorite – is eating it with fresh fruit, Yum!

i love stonyfield yogurt. i’ve recently got my bf addicted to it., who also threw a tantrum in the grocery store when he realized they didn’t sell it. but, i digress.
i love yogurt messes and substituting it for sour cream
I LOVE to eat yogurt with fruit for lunch, along with a vegetable and some whole grains like a bagel! But I also like to use plain yogurt instead of sour cream on top of a burrito, or in my favorite coffee cake recipe!

San An rocks– we had such a blast last time we were there—just seeing the Alamo and so much history right in the town area was really awesome!
