Two very big things to consider.

So hubs and I got to talking and decided to take on a mini-challenge and make January a……

In this month we’ll try new recipes, pack our lunches and fight the urge to eat out at Mexican food restaurants {our weakness ;) }.

I’m curious to see how much money we’ll save, as well as what new dishes we’ll try. I’ll keep you posted!

What about you? Want to jump on the No Dining Out train?

  1. We limit ourselves to eating out once a payday except when we go to Houston, y’all have so many yummy restaurants. I would join you for this challenge but since we’re moving this month it’s going to be almost impossible. Good luck though.

  2. Good for y’all! Sounds like a fun challenge! No can do – I have family lunch every Saturday at a restaurant of my parent’s choice (my dad pays) and since I’m a single girl – some of my socialization happens to be restaurant time with some of my favorite friends who live on opposite sides of town (we meet in the middle).

  3. What a GREAT challenge! You are right, you can control exactly what is in your food this way – no hidden surprises, no hidden calories and no hidden JUNK. Plus, money saving for sure! I know that for me, eating out can become a habit. Good for y’all for focusing on this challenge this month!
