Yesterday we arrived in San Francisco. The flight was really great, even with a connecting flight, which I do not like, but this was really pleasant, maybe since I had some green tea in hand it made it great? 
It was gorgeous out, sunny, cool but not chilly. Just beautiful.
We drove around the city, went to Silicon Valley, drove by Apple’s buildings (as Hubs geeked out) and got to see the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge
later we went to the Nike Women’s half-marathon expo, it was crazy packed!! These pictures are only from my phone because I’m pretty sure we left the camera cord back in Houston. (ugggggh!) So the others will have to come later…
and look its my name, can you find it?

Today (Friday) we did some more sight seeing and what not and actually drove the 13.1 course, I feel much more confident in doing the race after seeing the course. Something about the fear of the unknown and running alone (i.e. no sister) was getting to me, but ya’ll I got this.
OH! and the fog apparently came back today… this was the Golden Gate today…
Kinda creepy huh?
Tomorrow’s agenda: Alcatraz, possible blogger meet up and a PASTA dinner, we still have to figure out where.

Wow – what a difference some fog makes! Smart move to drive the course, I think – especially in totally unknown territory and with the looming hills to make them less…looming! Can’t wait to read that race recap and see you with that shiny medal! This is yours and you will rock it!!! Yay!!! =)

What a great place to be. San Fran is a beautiful city; I’d go back in a heartbeat if it were easier to get to.
