One of my workouts this week, was a kettlebell workout. I’ve heard a lot of buzz about kettlebells, but I’ve never attempted it… until I received this…
from the CSN stores. The Firm Kettlebell kit.
I know all you expert kettlebell peeps are probably thinking “Pshaw! 5lbs, my two year old could do that.” Well… don’t judge me.
A girl’s gotta start somewhere right?
The video was pretty cool, gave great instructions and helped me get used to the kettlebell movements…
They did a lot of squats and lunges, I think that’s why my legs were way more sore than my arms. I definitely think the 5lbs isn’t that hard. I’d want to get a heavier weight. And taking a note to self: “Do more squats and lunges.” I figured since I run, that I wouldn’t feel the squats and lunges that much. Boy, I was surprised!
I’m going to like this kettlebell stuff…
Anyway, I think if you’re wanting to try out this workout, this kit would be a smart way to go.

I’ve been wanting to try kettlebells! I’m proud of you for branching out! =)
I enjoy doing kettlebell workouts at home. I have 10lb weight. I don’t know if your dvd has you doing throws, but I don’t think I could do more than 10. It always makes me remember all the back muscles I’ve forgotten about.
I did 6 tonight and my feet were burning. Strange.
happy 500th post! kettle balls are great for strength training…
For WOW last night, I did one of the hardest spin classes ever – 5 min warm up and then 40 min of hard – like really hard. I think I sweat out a child.
THen for fun, we did 45 min of core. Brutal? Yes…but awesome….
Happy 500th post!!!
