Where’d I leave off? Oh yeah, hanging out with the cute little bits for the day, while their brother was going into surgery. It was absolutely crazy to all of us that lil’nephew was having surgery to remove his appendix!?! He’s only 3!
Lil’nephew had the surgery about 9pm that Saturday night, and my sister got back to her house around midnight. The kiddos and I were crashed out on the couch and hubs was typing away on his laptop.
Sunday morning, lil’nephew woke up in the hospital and gave his dad a thumbs up,
noting that he was feeling better. Such a cute boy. The doctors released him to go home around noon, since he was doing so well. He’s been recovery well. Hubs and I went over to their house Sunday afternoon, but of course we stopped at the toy store to pick up a few get well gifts.
Lil’nephew was so cute, he asked “Is it my birthday?“. Gotta love it.
So glad he’s on the upside of all of this. It was scary for a bit. THANK YOU for all your prayers and thoughts.
Ya’ll are awesome.
Monday, Hubs and I went to the Astros game with his parents…
The game sadly was such a bummer, we were losing….
The most exciting part was a guy jumped out onto the field and made a mad dash to the other side… he got caught, but it definitely was exciting.
I did have fun chatting with my mother-in-law. Good times.
After we went to Salt Grass for dinner and I saw this sign there…
So beyond true. Anyone else agree?
After a quick stop at ma’ sisters house. We came home, walked the little miss and then I went grocery shopping. Let me tell you. Grocery shopping on a Holiday evening is the time to go! No one was there, it was awesome. Anyway, THAT was our weekend, eventful.
So did you know what today is?
That’s right, its National Running Day!
“National Running Day is a national initiative of the major organizations within the running industry to join forces in an unprecedented unified effort to nationally promote running as a healthy, easy, and accessible form of exercise. The second annual National Running Day will be Wednesday, June 2.
From New York to San Diego, the day will celebrate the benefits of running as part of a healthy and active lifestyle aimed at combating some of today’s most pressing health issues.
You can participate in National Running Day anywhere—you don’t have to be in one of the cities hosting events to take part. At the least, all it takes is to wear your running shoes throughout the day, go for a run, and invite a friend to join you.
So, what do you think? Ready to get out and run!”
You ready to run!? Are you planning on running? When, Where, How Long? Happy Running Day!
