Your own mini-personal trainer

We’ve had our sweet little pup Taxi for 17 days now…

and I think she’s adjusting just fine. :)

Our backyard fence is a bit broken at the moment, and also has damage from Hurricane Ike {yes still, don’t judge} that would make it easy for Taxi to get out. So I’ve been walking her for all her potty breaks.

Now a little dog who drinks water like her Mommy {that would be be, I’m a camel, no joke}, normally has to go potty all the dang time. So that means I have to take her for many many walks. I could take this as an bother, but really I’m not. Taxi gets me out of bed and gets me moving, I have to take her out, or the poor thing suffers or worse just goes on the floor {bad dog}. But really, its like having your own mini personal trainer, I take about 10-15 minute walks 4-5 times a day right now, and the weather has been fairly nice out, so its very enjoyable.

So, if you’re looking for a way to get yourself moving, get out of bed in the morning and take several walks doing the day, go to get a puppy.

Gotta go Taxi’s waiting on me!

and the winner is…

Mellow Weekend

Good Morning my friends. Happy Monday to you all!

This past week was nutso, coming back from Nashville was a spazztic really. Flew back home Sunday night, got in around midnight, went to work Monday morning and went nonstop all week. :) The weekend has been much appreciated.

Hubs and I took some time to have a date-day {because staying out late is so old-school} and go have some crepes for lunch at our favorite crepe cafe. A new one just opened closer to our house! YEA! We love CoCo Crepes

I had a very tasty veggie crepe…

So good! I haven’t even tried their sweet/dessert crepes.  My first crepe experience was when I went to Paris, I had a warm nutella crepe. Changed my life I tell ya.

After lunch we went to see a movie. We were debating between “The back-up plan” or “Date Night”. We picked “Date Night”…

Cute movie. We laughed, but how can you not when Tina Fey and Steve Carell are involved?? :)

After the movie we popped by Hobby Lobby so I could show Hubs this piece of furniture I’m thinking of getting for our entry way…

Minus the pillows, they’re separate. thoughts? you like?

After the movie, we came home, walked Ms. Taxi, had some dinner and watched that presidential dinner thingy. Whatever its called. And can I just saw, Jay Leno is so beyond boring, it hurts. Sorry Jay fans, but he’s just not funny.

Sunday, church was fantastic, then we came home grilled veggie burgers for me and hot dogs for hubs… after I ate my veggie burger, which was so good, I put avocado on it… hubs decided to “be honest” and tell me he dropped my veggie burger in the grass… oh but it was only there for 2 seconds max. Yeah. AFTER I ate it. Awesome. So he’s going to have his next meal served in the grass… just sayin’. ;)

Then I went for a nice run in the low humidity and cleaned up around the casa. Such a good Sunday. I love mellow weekends. But Monday’s around the corner and this week has a lot going on. As always :)

So… How was your weekend?
