Hey ya’ll, hope your weekend was just lovely! Our has been perfect, the weather is gorgeous out, this is the best weather we’ve had in a very long time.
I told you Friday that Sunday hubs and I would be doing our 10 mile run and we hoped for pretty weather, and we so got it. So Sunday AM, we mapped our run {thank you MapMyRun!} ate breakfast, I had my tea
and were on our way.
We mapped our route so that we would basically have to circle our car, that way we could have some sports beans, almonds, H2O, and a PB&J for Hubs. Our plan was genius really.
I love long runs with my honey, total uninterrupted time with him, and if you know how our daily lives go, you would know that we’re forever busy, so this is precious time to me.
Great conversation, great pace, great weather, great views, it was perfect.
Once we got back to the car the first go around, I ate some almonds, hubs had his PB&J and drank some water and then went back to finish the last 5 miles.
I’ve noticed lately on these long runs that I haven’t had major blisters like I did when I was training for the 10 for Texas, which it could be my change in socks? I brought some goldtoe sport socks, and they are amazing. Anyway…
So somewhere around mile 6-7 hubs and I decided to compare what our of us hurt the most…
Hubs: My upper legs are killing me…”
ME: “My hamstrings are going to break!”
Hubs: “yeah well my hips hurt.”
ME: “My calves hurt, beat that!”
Oh it was great…
We finished our run, Cheered together! and headed back to the car, I brought some coconut water with me to try, I’m trying to find one I like, since they’re a great source of electrolytes and I refuse to drink “sports drinks” blah!

This one had Peach & Mango juiced with it. I was not fan. Boo, on to the next one!
and then we drove to smoothie king…
Hubs loves smoothie king, me… not so much. But I did find a smoothie I thought was really good this time, it had strawberries, raspberries, bananas and some other berry.
Very tasty.
We headed home and I took a nice warm epsom salt bath and totally wanted to nap after that, but I had errands to do. See told you, we’re busy people.
Before I left, hubs went back to map our run exactly again…
bad news ya’ll.
We didn’t follow the route exactly and only did about 8 miles. Ya should’ve seen the look on my face. I NEED A GARMIN {if garmin wants to send me one, that’d be lovely}. So needless to say, next week we’re going to fix that and 10 mile it up. The double digits that just didn’t happen. Oh well.
How was your weekend?

Who’s saying what?
