What’s in your Fridge?

Anyone catch The Biggest Loser last night? Can you believe the contestants were banned from their kitchen? They only were allowed to eat out the whole week? Have you ever gone a whole week eating out? I know I have before, I hate it. You can’t control what’s going into your food when you eat out. When you cook at home, you have control.

I enjoy grocery shopping. Some people may think its a pain, but I enjoy it. Even better, I love stocking my kitchen full of healthy items and keeping it organized!

Shopper tip: Check out the sale rack on cereal, if the box corners are damaged normally the store discounts them, score!

and for those wondering, I did buy fruit, apples, oranges, grapes, etc. I just forgot to take a picture, whoops!

So tell me, what’s in your fridge? Do you like grocery shopping?

And p.s. 10 for Texas is Saturday, yeah that means 4 days away. Prayers are appreciated. {hehe}

and p.p.s or is it p.s.s??? Anyway! head over to We Are That Family for Works for me Wednesday for more good tips. :)

  1. yummy! i love love love to grocery shop!
a few things you’ll always find in my fridge: tomatoes, avocados, tofurky, vegenaise, silk light vanilla soy milk, hummus, celery, and earth balance just to name a few staples. :)

i am intrigued by your salad savers!! looks and sounds like exactly what i need to keep my lettuce from going bad before i can use it all up! are they tupperware?

  2. haha. i would be embarrassed to show you my fridge/cupboards right now. i do love grocery shopping. which i get to do this friday :)

  3. I really do not like eating out so i could totally feel for the contestants. that loss of control over something SOOO important — your health and progress — is really hard for me. it doesn’t help that, just as the contestants experienced, restaurants rarely get it right! i always spot butter or oil or dressing when i had specifically requested there not be any such things! le sigh. sending happy thoughts into the atmosphere for your 10 for Texas!
p.s. how do you like coconut water? have not tried it myself yet…

  4. You are BRAVE posting the inside of your fridge. I couldn’t do that right now with out the health inspector dropping in. Most of the time I do pretty well, right now there is some thai take out. I couldn’t eat out as much as they did this week on the BL. Wow, lessons learned though!

  5. I have way too much stuff in my fridge. I think I can go a month without buying anything and live off my pantry, fridge and freezer.

I love taking a peek into other ppl’s fridge. Thanks for sharing.

  6. Man! We eat a lot alike! Was that Mix My Granola I saw in your FRIDGE?!

  7. I do enjoy grocery shopping and having a well-stocked fridge/pantry.

    Thanks for sharing!

  8. 4 days??? woo hoo! you are going to do great.

i personally don’t like grocery shopping, but you do make it sound fun. :)

  9. Wow, you have a lot of healthy good stuff in your fridge! ( I LOVE those lettuce keepers too btw). This post makes me want to go shopping. :)

  10. Sooooo I’ll be over this week, your fridge is SO well stocked!

Ooo thanks for the link too!

    Praying for your race :)

  11. Yum! I love grocery shopping and healthy food, too! A few staples I keep around, which are foods I’ve just “discovered” in the past 5 or 6 years, are nutritional yeast flakes, sorghum syrup, and kale that I buy fresh and freeze in small portions for convenience.

A few months ago, my 4-year-old son was learning to use the camera and took a picture of the inside of our fridge. It was all full of healthy foods, many of them virtuously stored in re-used containers…and right in the middle, a giant paper cup from Coca-Cola! It was the only soda we’d bought in a long time, but it just happened to be there for the photo. Well, moderation in all things!

  12. Such excellent information!

I really enjoyed looking around your lovely blog and would absolutely love it if you would stop by my blog!
