Look what I signed up for this weekend…
The 10 for Texas is October 10th.
I’ve been wanting to do this… training for it {uh, not as hardcore as I should be…} and I finally did it. Made the serious commitment by signing up… annnnnnd got a little week in the knees. But I can do this. I may pass out, throw up, fall over, cry, but I won’t give up. I can handle 10 miles {no, haven’t done 10 miles in my running existence, don’t judge, send love
} and after its all said and done, I’ll press on to the next milestone, which I’m shooting for a half-marathon next year! So lets talk about something else or I’m gonna panic.
Labor day. What a great holiday. And even better when its a 4-day weekend holiday.
Let’s recap…
Friday, I woke up had a oh-so fabulous non-rushed breakfast…

Then spent the rest of my day cleaning the house, organizing, grocery shop and organizing again… remember my wanna be Pottery Barn decor look? Well, here’s the finish product, er… so far…

whatcha think? I’m loving it. It’s turning into such a cosy living room
Saturday morning went for a 2.5 mile run in the Park…

it got really hot since I didn’t go earlier in the morning,

so after 2.5 miles I headed back to the car downed water and tried a couple Sports Beans…

The Lemon Lime flavor was pretty good. Its the only flavor I’ve been able to find. I’d like to try some of the other ones.
The rest of Saturdays events were very mellow. Included reading the new Fitness Magazine & Hubs watching Football… very… loudly.
Ah, yes. It’s officially College Football season and the volume in our house is at its all-time high. Hubs loves college ball and reminds me there’s only so many games, and he HAS to watch them. It’s fine with me, just give me a good book/magazine and a cup of tea and I’ll be just fine.
For dinner I made a pizza, from the emealz.com recipe…

and for the pizza dough, I used The Red Mill Gluten Free Pizza Crust:

Turned out pretty snazzy…
Notice, Hubs is not a tomato fan. {Yet, he eats salsa?}
Sunday, we went to my sisters house for my sweet nephews 1st birthday party!

Birthday boy’s pretty stoked about his party!

Good times.
In a nutshell, that was the “weekend”. But the exciting thing is… MONDAY IS LABOR DAY!! YEAA No work! No Work!!! So what am I doing you ask? Well since this weekend basically was a get the house in order, clean, etc weekend. I am going for an A.M. Run, then going to spend some time with my Sissy and play all day long!
YEA!
HAVE A GREAT DAY YA’LL!!! {And I don’t know what I’m typing in caps… excited much?}
So tell me, what are you plans this labor day?

You are adorable!
Enjoy your sister time! I’m heading to the gym and maybe Old Navy to see if they have their Halloween pj bottoms out yet…one of my all time favorite things!
I’m so excited you signed up for 10 for Texas!!! You will do awesome!
BTW…yay for e-mealz…love them! I haven’t had anything off there that I didn’t like!
