Weekend recap: did someone say fire?

Happy Monday Ya’ll! Hope your weekend was great, mine was quite eventful…

Friday the lil’ sis and I ran 3 miles at North Shore Park, it was such a pretty day out!

and I loved this street name…

Great run, we were very sluggish at first, had some green tea and then we were pepped and ready! Took on those 3 miles and killed it! Woo!

Friday evening I finally watched The Office, that was DVR’d from the other day. It was HILARIOUS! Any one else watch that show? Then my super sweet out-of-town friend came by and we chatted for hours, good times. Miss you Ali!

Saturday morning, lil’ sis came over and we started our scheduled 6 mile run. Note to self, back-to-back running without a good 24-hours in between makes two very tired sisters. A lot of it was mental, pushing past your negative feelings. Your toes are screaming at you to stop because blisters are forming and you just tell them to shut up and you keep going. Bam! 6 miles done and we felt great, afterward. :)  Hubs met up with as at the last mile as well.

Lil’ sis and I did try some sports beans on our run

Holy goodness ya’ll! these were tasty. The fruit punch has great flavor and we both thought they gave us an extra push to finish the run. I definitely think if you’ve never tried these before, to go find them and try the fruit punch kind. You’ll notice a difference in your workout.

After ward the three of us headed to lunch, which I ate of all the veggie tacos before even thinking of taking a picture… and they were so colorful and pretty too. Sorry. Then we went to one of my favorite places {yes, starbucks… but then…} Whole Foods!

My honey is so good to me and is willing to drive an hour to go with me to a favorite grocery store, how the heck did I find this amazing guy? He even carried my bags. I love him :)

This Whole Foods wasn’t as good as the other one here {which is also an hour from me, seriously. stupid.} and definitely cannot compete with the amazing Whole Foods in Austin, be still my heart.

I got a few goodies: snack bars, whole wheat tortillas, bunch of 365 brand things {their brand}, hubs found cheese puffs & chocolate milk :) and goodness what else… a few other goods, but I put it all away before taking a picture… whoops again ya’ll.

Since we were on that side of town, we went to a couple thrift store place, one being Value Village and the other being Trader’s Village, we didn’t buy anything at either, but I found this adorable Yorkie that was asking me to take it home…

Isn’t she adorable? However the awful $1,000.00 price tag the owner had on it was NOT adorable.

Saturday evening Hubs and I headed over to Greg & Melissa’s house to hang for the evening, we had no idea why tons of firetrucks were headed towards their neighborhood as we were driving that way…Greg called us and said “Um, you may have to park down the street… our neighbors house has smoke coming out of it.”

Sunday, oh how I love Sundays: Church, lunch, grocery store {I hate forgetting stuff and having to go back}, hubs office, cleaning, resting, mellowness. I love it. :) Not every Sunday is that chill, but this one definitely called for it.

So tell me, how was your weekend? Are your Sundays mellow too?

***Be sure to stop by tomorrow for an AWESOME giveaway because I like you, and it’ll be my birthday too. YEA!!***
