Hello Monday! How’s everybody doing?
The weekend was nice, felt very active. I love active weekends!
Friday after work, it was nice out, really nice out, like 85 degrees {plus humidity} nice out. That hasn’t happened in forever, with the crazy 100+ degree weather. So I decided to take advantage of this fluke weather and go outside for a run. Oh how I’ve missed running outside! Running on the treadmill just doesn’t cut it. It’s just not the same. :\
I used my nifty SPIbelt I got from the fabulous people in Austin, THANKS YA’LL! {they have this cute PINK camo one… its for kids, but I want it.
}

Good run, legs felt heavy, but I could feel a difference from running outside than in a gym on a treadmill. SO much better.
That evening Hubs and I went to dinner with my brother, sis-in-law and the kiddos, check out this crazy sky that evening… storms were rolling in…

Saturday Morning, was up early, got house work finished before I was even out the door to Wholyfit, YEA! On the way to class I saw this randomness and took a picture of it…

That would be a black high heel shoe nicely placed on the curb… random…
Good work that morning, my mom and Marie taught. Go M&M! I worked on some things for my certification to teach wholyfit after class, final testing and certification is August 1st!!! Holy cow that’s soon!
That afternoon, Hubs and I met up with our friends Matt & Carla to go boating at Lake Conroe…

It was all good and gravy until this happened…
It was POURING rain, thunder, lighting and all that drama… then as we were leaving to go eat it stopped and was awesomely sunny and too late to go back to the lake because it’d be dark soon. Oh well. It was still a great time with our friends!
Sunday… I love Sunday’s.
Hubs and I went to church that morning, great message about Justice, Mercy & Humility. Told a story about this girls youth camp about an hour or so away, the camp is for Foster kids, girls & boys called TRAC, {read about it here}, but this particular time was just for girls. The camp directors & counselors did a “glamour party” for the young girls and the girls got to pick fancy dresses that were donated to them and got to keep the dress of their choice, got all hair & make-up’d and felt like princesses at this party. One of the young girls stood up, with tears in her eyes thanked the director of the camp and said “you’ve made me feel special and have changed my life”. I was choking back tears as I heard this. How amazing that the efforts of people to make someone feel special and important, can make such a huge impact on someone’s life. I believe that each one of those girls is going to remember that time and know that they are special and important. Our pastor said this quote “Small things, done with great love, can change the world.” It’s been rolling around in my head since I heard it. So good. Also made me think of Caitlin who created Operation Beautiful. Click over here and check it out.
Sunday evening, my darling Husband and I went to the gym, great workout. I love that he likes to go to the gym and workout with me. He’s an amazing man!
Got get the day going!
So tell me, is there any organization, charity, etc. that you’re involved in or want to get involved in? What do you do to donate your time/talent/money, etc?

Hey Lauren — sounds like you had a great weekend! Wow, your Wholyfit test is coming up! Good luck!!!
85 degrees {plus humidity}? Umm, no way, sister. But thanks for finding my shoe. I went on a long high-heeled walk in complete randomness.
Ha Josie! I knew it was yours!
