And he cooks too!

This morning I needed a extra boost of something good… so I decided to have some grass. Yum! Yum! Yum!

Normally I’m not a big fan of acai berries, but this was awesome!

Rewind to Tuesday night…

my super sweet husband has been wanting to cook as of late and even found a recipe for lasagna. Yum!

100_4810

He used a whole wheat pasta, ricotta, mozzarella, tomato & basil sauce and who knows what else. I was shooed out of the kitchen :) {he’s was acting like me}

Hubs made an appetizer since the lasagna would take a while to make. Tomato, mozzarella, balsamic & olive olive bruschetta…

Holy yumminess! You have NO idea… omg.

Dinner was READY and it looked amazing…

Hubs said it was about a 5 layer cheese lasagna. :)

Here’s my plate of goods…

Looks awesome huh!? I’m just glad I got my fitness on Tuesday and Wednesday to work that Italian off ;) so good though!

The other day I went to the gym, and completely forgot my ipod at home. Eek!! And to add frustration on to this failed move, the TV plug thingy for your headphones was totally dead, and I HATE to treadmill hop. Ugh. So I was proud that I pounded out a 30 minute cardio session on the treadmill and then another 15 minutes on the Bike. YEA! No music at all, just the retard gym-rats that are trying to pick up a date for the weekend. Eh, it’s entertaining nonetheless. :)

So tell me, do you have to work out to music or do you prefer nothing?

  1. Hola! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Boys are picky sometimes, no? That lasagna looks great though! I love when my boy cooks, although it is a rare occasion.

I bought him the “A Man, A Can, A Plan” cookbook and he actually loves to cook out of there. Of course the ingredients are all, well canned, so its prob not the healthiest…heheh.

    Adding you to my reader!

  2. Ok that looks amazing. I may lick my computer screen!

I run sans music b/c I am paranoid about not being able to hear an: attacker, dog, car, random gun fire (Not really), etc. But that is only outside. Treadmill requires music or tv.

  3. bruschetta? yum!! And I love a guy who can cook!!

  4. Good job Rod! Looks SO yummy!!!

I am definitely a “must have music” person when I work-out! I am so proud of you for going without, because I may hate treadmill hopping but sometimes it’s needed! :)

  5. Hi Lauren,

I came across your blog and saw that you enjoy healthy cooking and experimenting with new recipes. Stonyfield Farm makes Oikos Organic Greek yogurt which can be used in a variety of ways while cooking – in baking, as a substitute for sour cream and mayonnaise, in dips and sauces and to create tasty low-fat dishes. Greek yogurt is strained, making it thicker and more versatile in recipes than regular yogurt. Oikos is organic, which means it’s made without artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners, and it’s made from organic milk produced without the use of toxic persistent pesticides, chemical fertilizers, antibiotics, or artificial growth hormones (rBST). We feel that organic is not only better for you, but better for the planet as well.

I’d love to send you coupons to give Oikos a try. If you’re interested, shoot me an email at kdrociak@stonyfield.[email protected] and let me know where to send them.

    Take care,
    Kristina
