FRUGAL: From Latin frugalis ”virtuous, thrifty”
Pronunciation

  1. Avoiding unnecessary expenditure either of money or of anything else which is to be used or consumed; avoiding waste.

So… I don’t know about you… but I love to shop.

And lately, I’ve been looking for Fitness Apparel.

I used to have just one pair of Nike Pants {which I love}, and with working out all the time, you have to wash them like crazy and hope they don’t fall apart on you.

SO… I wanted new super cute make me look good comfy, functional kind of active wear.

Hence Good Deals Friday has begun in my world, surfing the internet you can find killer deals {like these} on workout attire.

Currently Walmart {so not my favorite place to go to} has started selling Danskin products…danskinwfmw Oh so love Danskin! You can’t beat $7.00 :)

Target has a ton of great styles to choose from and their prices on their C9 by Champion is awesome!

targetwfmwSometimes you can find good deals like this for $15.00 and in your size at the store, or there’s always online!

Another place that I think has fab-o deals on active wear is Old Navy, have you SEEN their new stuff?

oldnavywfmwSuper cute active tank and it’s only $7.99, I LOVE being frugal. :)

And that’s how I keep my active-wear shopping frugal {and cute)…

I hunt.

Hunt out the deals and don’t stop till I find the best. :)

So tell me, are you frugal? What do you do to stay a little more frugal?

I took a quiz over at FitSugar.com for “What you should known about Belly Fat”
surprisingly, I answered them all correct!

Thought I’d share the answer with you :)

Results

  • You answered 5 out of 5 questions correctly.
  • Your score: 100%
  • The average score is 3.5 or 70%
Question 1: T/F: Having belly fat is associated with an increased risk of cancer.
You answered correctly: True

Yes, having weight around your middle increases your risk of heart disease, hypertension, cancer, and dementia. An extra spare tire can also be fatal.

Question 2: To decrease heart disease risk, a woman’s waist shouldn’t exceed how many inches?
You answered correctly: 35

According to a study from the National Institute of Health, women whose waists are bigger than 35 inches are more than twice as likely to die of heart disease than women whose middles measure less than 28 inches.

Question 3: T/F: Excessive belly fat can lead to diabetes.
You answered correctly: True

Belly fat can increase your risk of diabetes. That’s because excess fat around your midsection affects your muscles. Healthy muscles use up a lot of the sugar you consume, and sluggish muscles don’t metabolize sugar as well.

Question 4: What method won’t help reduce ab flab?
You answered correctly: Do nothing but crunches every day

New research shows that eating blueberries can help reduce abdominal fat. Doing crunches will strengthen your ab muscles, but it won’t decrease belly fat. You’ll need to do some type of cardio, such as running, to burn calories. Interval training in particular can help dissolve the jiggle around your middle. Alternating between moderate and vigorous movements is more effective than working out at a steady speed.

Question 5: What ingredient should you avoid in order to prevent belly fat?
You answered correctly: Hydrogenated oil

Eating foods that contain trans fat is associated with causing belly fat. Hydrogenated oil is a type of trans fat, so check labels and avoid foods that contain it.

So tell me, did any of these answers surprise you? Did you know that Belly Fat can be such a risk to your health?
