When I was younger, I read ALL-THE-TIME.
I could finish books in a day, I did that once last year. It was so good! I haven’t done that since.
Thursday Hubs and I went to hear Dave Ramsey speak about our nations current events and how we can be more financially savvy… but don’t click away, I’m not going to go on rambling about money… just not in the mood.
But one thing that was mentioned over and over again is, “you are what you read.”
Somewhere between teenager and married woman, I’ve misplaced that love for reading.
Sure, I can use the excuse “I don’t have time…” but how do I have time for other things? {SAME excuse for not going to the gym, don’t GET me started there}
So with that, I decided to look up a bunch of books that I’ve read, haven’t read, wanted to, thought about, passed by and post them here… {I love Amazon ya’ll…}
Here’s what I’ve come up with so far:
Seems like a lot huh?
Nah.
Knowledge IS powerful.
So tell me, are you a reader? Do you enjoy it, or is it a struggle to pick up a book? Do you have any favorites that you read before? Share your thoughts, I’d love suggestions!

love love love to read. dont dont dont have time. wish wish wish I did
I was the same way! But I’m getting back in and read The Lovely Bones practically in one sitting! I’m reading The Beck Diet Solution now – behavior mod tactics for dieters. so far so good…now to act on it
i remember reading “7 steps of a highly effective TEEN’ when i was younger and fell in love with it! Great book! Have you read your skinny bitch yet?!
I used to love reading and was even an English major in college. Now, the only thing I read, is people’s blogs. But I am reading Naturally Thin: aka she is anorexic. Don’t recommend it. Interesting tips but not feasible.
Aw, thanks, Lauren! I’ve been reading I Must Decrease again, now that I’m trying to eat right. Sometimes it’s interesting to see how God uses our own words to prick our conscience! Thanks for the plug!
that’s so wild. i was just at Dave Ramsey’s website yesterday and was thinking about ordering one of his books!
Hi Terri, “The Beck Diet Solution” sounds very interesting. I’ll look into it! Thanks
Britt, I saw they had a teen version. that’s so cool. I’m picking up skinny bith this week!
Kristi, she DOES look anorexic! I always wondered. thanks for the tip.
Janie, I definitely agree. You’re welcome, anytime!
Cher, you SHOULD! it’s very good. Hubs and I are taking the financial class right now. so good.
