Monday was such a good day, got the house cleaned up from the weekend, went for a half-mile run, chased ducks around and when Hubs got home we did the 30 day shred, made an awesome dish from the Biggest Loser cookbook, that I totally should have taken pictures of! It was Baked Ziti, SO GOOD!
I’ve always had a love/hate relationship with Food Journalling. I don’t mind documenting what I ate, but having to figure out the calories, keeping a pen and paper/journal with me at all times and all that jazz would drive me nuts.
But… for me, there’s a solution! Here’s what I do now:

Apple iPhone Application: Lose It!

For an iPhone addict like me, this is the PERFECT solotion, I always have my iPhone with me, with with a click of the button I can search for the foods I’ve eatten, get the calorie/fat/carb/etc amounts for them and log my food for the day! I LOVE IT! No paper, no pen {or lack there of} just me and the iPhone. {and no this isn’t a plug for the iPhone, I really am just a fan}
So tell me, do you have a food journal? How do you keep it? Blog it? iPhone it? Keep a book journal with you? Lemme know what you do.

I love the app Lose It! I use it all the time!
Have you tried RunKeeper (free)? It uses GPS to record your time, distance, and route when you’re running. I LOVE IT! It then transfers it online and you can SEE your route on a map! Very cool!
We should run a 5K sometime. I’m up to running 2 miles at a time.
i use FitDay.com. it’s easy for me to print out my daily intake and fax to my dietician.
what a cool app! i have one on my palm but usually journal the old fashioned way– a small notebook
have a great day!
Bonnie, I just downloaded RunKeeper, looks awesome!!
Hi Cher, I love FitDay.com, so easy to use!
Hi Gina, thanks for stopping by! The old fashion way is just as good
gosh i have got to start doing that
You can do it Christa!
oh wow, I need help in the cooking dept. I need to get that book. I hate journaling countig calories makes me neurotic. This is a cool application on your phone.
You’d really like the book Kristi, it’s super helpful and easy. I like easy
I’m like you… love the idea of food journaling, but never keep up with it. I’ve used FitDay online, but again, never quite keep up with it. If I had an iPhone I’d be downloading this app right now!
I think I’m switching to a Blackberry in October, maybe there is something similar. I’ll have to check.
My WFMW post today is all about how to make a diaper cake for a baby gift. It’s fun and easy!
