~Friends of Rodney and I told us about a challenge that they made for themselves and had 45 days to do it.~
That challenge is to lose 10% or more of your total body weight.
The prize? $500.00... cash. Score! Ya’ll know my love for shopping and all things that involve such things.
So hubs and I talked it over and decided we could totally do this.
We’re up for the 45 day challenge, and considering Rod and I are both very competitive, this will be a battle till the end!
The Challenge stated today and ends May 11th.
We weighed in this morning {omg ya’ll, it made me cringe, darn vacations… using it as more motivation though} and wrote down our weight and the goal to lose to get us at 10% weight loss. BUT if we both reach the goal, its a tie, SO going over that 10% is a must in my book.
Hey, I’m up against a good competitor. Rod is a good runner {I want to be, I so want to do a marathon one day}, he used to play football in high school, and when you give the man a goal, he tackles it. {No football pun intended}
However, I can definitely give hubs a run for his money! Give me a challenge? I’m driven, determined, the phrase “No retreat, no surrender” {an awesome motto from my youth pastor as a teen}. That phrase is my mantra, “No retreat, no surrender”. Game ON!
I’m totally excited to see where we’ll be in 45 days. This weekend I headed out to {favorite store} Target and picked up this:

I’m pretty stoked about it. There’s tons of awesome recipes and also gives you the nutritional facts as well, so I have a clue what I’m getting myself into. There’s perfect dishes for hubs meat-eating ways and great vegetarian options for me. Woo! I’ll let you now how the meals go.
This morning hubs and I headed our separate ways for our workouts, hubs headed to the gym and I went off to Wholyfit. I had a great workout, still feeling score from this weekends workout. I may be crazy, but I love that feeling, don’t you?
So tell me…
Have you ever done a fitness challenge or done something to get ready for an event? {e.g. marathon, wedding, family reunion, etc} Tell me when you did to prepare for your event, what you ate, what results you saw?

Who’s saying what?
