Countdowns and Sore Muscles

171
DAYS until “I now pronounce you Mr And Mrs” :) I can’t wait….

Besides going crazy at work and finalizing wedding plans, I’ve still been able to keep up with working out, and trust me, it is seriously a stress burner and keeps me sane, just ask my Fiance. ;)

I’m ready for the weather to be gorgeous and sunny out (all the time) so I can get my fitness on OUT SIDE. I love when Rod and I actually get to go biking or running on the track at his old high school. Something about being outside is just so refreshing. For now, we have the good ol’ gym and it’s machines…

That isn’t me… yeah I’m not blonde ;) but you get the idea.

One of my favorite classes is Wholyfit and any time I miss just one class, my body can feel it. It’s so good!

I tried KoreXtreme last night, which is basically weights and a lot of stair-stepping… I hurt. I so hurt today, but that good hurt that makes you crave the next class. It’s weird, bizarre and yet you love the sore muscles. :)
Monday night I’m going to try Zumba, EVERYONE is talking about it. Not kidding. So I’ll let you know how that goes.

Quote from Jillian Michaels newsletter: “Be Proud of Any Success! There’s no such thing as mindless weight loss. You can’t sleep off the pounds or take a miracle pill that burns fat. Losing weight is about making the right choices, every single day, in a variety of different situations. But even if you see the pounds coming off slowly, that doesn’t mean you should throw in the towel. As one teammate explains, this journey may be slow going sometimes, but every milestone counts! “

What are some of your favorite classes or indoor/outdoor actitives?

{And I promise, Bridal Shower pictures are coming…soon}

  1. I’ve been doing the machines indoors b/c of the weather, but its a great way to get through my magazines. I refuse to look at a magazine unless i’m on a machine! :)

  2. Favorite indoor/outdoor activities? I’m guessing away from a gym and gym equipment? Hmmm….

Indoors is probably working on plank and doing core muscle exercises. [awesome free core muscle training here = Les Romack's 'Body By Les' series on Veoh or his actual website that posts his videos as well. I think he even has stuff on youtube if you search for him.]

Outdoors is definitely biking and running. Its been tough during the cold though. I did get a nice “hike” when I went to Austin to shoot photos however, despite the cold. (That city has lots of hills!!) We wandered around for a few hours downtown, each armed with backpacks full of heavy camera gear & water to drink. And we lost my car so that added to the distance walked, hahaha. It wasn’t the best ‘workout’ and I probably would have fared better indoors in a gym, but if you’re looking for suggestions of something to do, it was a fun outing with a friend that allowed us both to burn a few calories at the same time. :)

  3. Congratulations!!!
17 days only….OMG! It is right around the corner!
I can imagine how excited you might be.

About the activities…hummmm…that is hard. I am not really into exercising.
It is on my New Year’s resolutions list to start some type of activity this year…I promised myself I WILL ;-)

Can’t wait to see the bridal showers pictures.

  4. I love your blog. Anyway, my favorite classes are Kickboxing, BodyPump, and Zumba. You’re doing great!
