Just Breathe…

So… Tuesday night, my sweet Fiancé had to come rescue me.

My right front tire on my Honda Civic got brutally beat up by the crack in the pavement on Kuykendual close by Woodlands Parkway (You Houstonians, who’d know where that is)… it not only busted the tire, it dinted the rim of the tire and completely cracked the hub-cap. Yes, this really did happen on top of all the chaos this week…

Thankfully, my sweet hero of a man, took the car to a local tire repair place and got it all taken care of… all the while, I was working on the Wedding Invitation craziness. Remember the new 175 envelopes that were suppose to be delivered on Wednesday morning, in which I took work OFF for??? Remember?…

Yeah… they didn’t get delivered, the place didn’t even SHIP them.

I called them, and calmly asked the innocent man on the other end, how he was going to fix this problem?… he refunded my shipping charges for “overnight” (Ha!) shipping and said the envelopes would arrive Thursday. My AMAZING Sister, figured out how to get the envelopes open without damage and all we needed was some envelope glue and we could fix this major issue.

NEVER have I been to Office Max so many times in one day. But it was all worth it, this magic glue stuff did the trick and the envelopes were sealed and the invitations went out in today’s mail! YEA!!

All this… and it’s only Thursday. What a trip of a week ya’ll… I feel completely wrecked, kinda like how I did here:

I broke my arm as a little girl… and all I wanted was my Sunny Care Bear. Has anyone seen that Bear? I could use a squeeze. :)

  1. baby, it will be okay, its all about working through these small little bumps

  2. hahahaha I remember that pic of you – you were so not happy with that broken arm. Just keep breathing, just keep breathing (sung to the tune Nemo-Just Keep Swimming)

  3. Oh Lauren, I can’t believe this…one thing after another it seems! Still can’t get over the invitation stories! first the rsvp cards don’t make it in-then the envelopes-then shipping issues!!!!!!!! you’re going to make it through and the wedding will be a success and beautiful!

  4. Oh I miss my old carebears so much!! What a trip down memory lane.

Sorry about your car! I have a civic too. Great cars but you cant always prevent those types of things.

I can relate about the invitations so much! I just got married last summer and it was craziness preparing everything (I was also working FT and a FT grad student! yuk!)

Love the blog, keep up the great work.

Hang in there! Friday is almost here! :)

    Here’s some encouraging words:

“When you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long in the first place.”

“It is said an Eastern monarch once charged his wise men to invent him a sentence to be ever in view, and which should be true and appropriate in all times and situations. They presented him the words: “And this, too, shall pass.”" ~Abraham Lincoln
