There’s an email I get daily called “God’s Minute”, a co-worker once told me about it and I signed up, I enjoy it. It’s a quick read and always great to start the day off with reading scriptures. In this beyond busy lifestyle I tend to live, I barely find time for anything, some days it feels like I’m just existing and even at that, I’m not doing a very good job at it. Ever feel that way? For those of you who’ve known me for a while, I’m an over-achiever, I desire to be the best, be perfect, be organized, be the best daughter, sister, friend, fiance and soon to be wife. When you sit and think of all that and how you have to get your daily life’s tasks finished, working out to stay healthy, add a helping of planning a wedding and trying to get things settled for that, you can really start to feel overwhelmed and a bit lost… as the camera zooms onto ME. (Ya know, if this were a reality show about my life )
So with all that said, I bring you the scriptures that were in the “God’s Minute” email that stopped me dead in my thought processes of “You’re all alone, you can’t do anything right, you’re not good enough” and smacked sense into me by God saying the below…

 Before I formed you in the womb I
 knew you; Before you were born I
 sanctified you;
         ( Jeremiah 1:4 *NKJV )

    O LORD, You have searched me and known
 me.  You know my sitting down and
 my rising up; You understand my
 thought afar off. ( Psalms 139:1-2 )

    For, the very hairs of your head
are all numbered. ( Matthew 10:30 )

     You comprehend my path and my
 lying down, and are acquainted with
 all my ways. ( Psalms 139:3 )  For it is
 also written: Does He not see my ways,
 And count all my steps?
 ( JOB 31:4 )

     Nothing in all creation is hidden
 from God’s sight. Everything is
 uncovered and laid bare before the
 eyes of him to whom we must give
 account.         ( Hebrews 4:13 )
  
     My frame was not hidden from
 you when I was made in the secret
 place your eyes saw my unformed
 body.  All the days ordained for me
 were written in your book before
 one of them came to be.
                        ( Psalms 139:15 & 16 )

Do you ever feel this way? Do you ever feel lost? Like life is so chaotic that you’re losing at everything? Do you feel like no one understands your thoughts, and if you shared them people would think you’re strange? Reading scriptures from the bible, God’s own words to you, that YOU are important to him, that he knows everything you think, the good, the bad and the awfully ugly, he knows it all and loves you and accepts you and delights in the fact that you exist in this world, you are wonderfully made. Some times that’s hard to accept I must admit, I’m much better at beating myself up instead of accepting his love and grace. It’s that pride in me that says “I can do it all.” But gosh its so much easier to let him love me, to be forgiven by him for being awful me, its so much better to feel accepted by God then to be cold and angry. It’s so much better.

Those are my thoughts for the day, sorry if that’s “deep” for ya’ll… I think its just where I’m at right now. The good, the bad and the awfully ugly.
