Remember when I had my freak out moment and bared my inter-thoughts and “To-Do List“?? ‘member? Oh I do. The good thing that came out of my freak-out-moment was this… I realized I just needed to get organized (even more so than I already am) and it’s ok to ask for HELP!
So with the beautiful advise and help from my lovely friends, bridesmaids and darling blogging buddies, I bring you the “To-Do List Revisited!”
Here’s what’s on the list (and yet I’ve added more lately, but thats on a list at home) and whats been done:
• Book an officiant for the ceremony <- in the process, should be done this month, WOO HOO!
• Choose center pieces for reception <- Hobby Lobby is our friend, and my Sister, is AMAZING!
• Choose flower girl, ring bearer attire <- Finally got out and about to shop and look. Progress People.
• Meet reception caterers, arrange tastings and make a booking <- spoke with the Country Club, that will be arranged.
• Order wedding accessories, including headpiece, veil and shoes <- Done, Done, Done and still searching. Who knew finding the shoes would be the hardest part. If you caught my “Shoe Vote” you know I had 3 choices that I really liked, well hot-dang, they’re not working, they’re too silver… I need more of a cream/ivory in order for them to look right, back to the drawing board. Hmm maybe some spicy green ones would be cute? Hmm…. thoughts ticking!
• Compile a guest list and organize addresses <- YES! We’re making progress!!! I’m so, so, so glad!
• Prepare a playlist for the reception <- My handsome honey has already started working on this.
• Schedule rehearsal times and make reservations for rehearsal dinner <- Taken care of! YES!
• Arrange transportation for the wedding day <- honey told me this is all him and he added to his list.
• (HIS) wedding band style and purchase <- Going this week/weekend to look, phew!
• Attendants attire and schedule fittings <- 4 done, 2 to go! YES! So glad, I’ve been worried about the time it takes for the dresses to get here. Phew! So glad.
• Create a PhotoShow DVD for the reception <- I heart iMac.
• Discuss bachelorette party plans; arrange bridesmaids luncheon or dinner <- my bestie Ali is all over this, she is awesome. Let me tell you, this girl has been so awesome. I LOVE YOU ALI!!! Luncheon is all me, and that my darling friends is going to be fabulous!
• Send Save-the-Dates <-Ok, so they may not have been sent yet, but they’re ORDERED!!! They’re estimated to arrive TODAY! TODAY people! I’m crazy excited!!! I cannot wait to get home and (please Lord, let them be there) see the Save-the-Dates!!!
• Create gift registry <- I am super excited about this, Rod and I have already talked about going beginning of November and getting this knocked out. Its like shopping in a sense, I’ll let Rod hold the scanner.
• Buy guest book, confetti, favors for guests and (complete) gifts for attendants <- Guestbook: Order. Favors, Figured out, need to order. Complete gifts, in the works!
Ya’ll… just the mere fact that these “To-Do’s” have been worked on, talked about, figured out. WHAT A RELIEF! So glad. I think I’ve said that about 15 times already. But seriously, SO SO SO GLAD!
And I want to say that, Rodney is outstanding. He truly is the biggest blessing. I’m a list-making, need to be orangized, calendar marking fanantic, and he has this perfect way of understanding me and helping when needed and definitely calming me down (when always needed). I’m blessed beyond words to get to marry my Best Friend, the love of my life.
Who’s saying what?
