Cooler than an ice cube!

So the title is pretty corny huh? Just you wait till you see my new groovy eye-wear.

After going to the eye doctor yesterday, I found out I definitely have an eye infection, but because I caught it early on, I’m good. I got drops and these nifty cleaning wipes to help get rid of the infection.

But while driving to the doctor, wearing my glasses is kind of painful when its so sunny outside. I ALWAYS have to wear sunglasses because my eyes are so sensitive to the sun. So I had to put my big sunglasses over my “seeing-glasses”. This is how cool I looked:

Oh it gets better though… so my sweet eye doctor lady (yes thats what I call her, because I always forgot how to pronouce her real name), asked me if its hard to see when driving because of the sun, I said “of course, it makes my eyes water even more!”
So she said that “these arent the best, but they’re definitely get you by for now. You have to protect your eyes.”

I leave, get my car, put on my groovy new shade…look in the mirror… and… well… just look…

Yeeep, I did what you’re doing. I laughed my head off! Aren’t these just awful? Omg and I’m suppose to be in my glasses for two weeks at the most? Holy cow! I’ve reached an all new level of super dorkness!

I think I may just stick to the over-sized glasses. Heaven help me!

How old am I?

Ya know, when you were a little kid and you’d get things like chicken pox, an ear ache, pink eye…. and you think, “yeah those are things you only get as a kid.” Well You’re wrong! I woke up this morning with Pink Eye. What on earth? How the heck do I have Pink eye? How old am I again? I thought this was only a kid thing… oh goodness. So I go to work thinking “oh hum, I’ll just look retarded and have to wear my glasses”… well thats what I thought at least. Nope, everyone looks at me like I’m a crazy person for coming in, “Pink Eye is contagious” My attorney tells me… whoops! I didn’t know, so I call my eye doctor, got an appointment set and they send me home to “not infect everyone”.

So I sit here and wait until my appointment, with my puffy, watery, almost shut pink eye and drink my starbucks tea. Sigh…

But for your viewing pleasure, I will not show you a picture of my ugly eye, but how about other things that are pink?? :)

Singin’ in the rain…

So it’s suppose to do a little more than just “rain”. Have you checked Weather.com? Yeah we as in Houston, Texas have a Tropical Storm. We haven’t hit “Hurricane” status yet, so that’s a good thing. Tomorrow at work is a very busy day, normally one of our busiest days. So how ironic is it that there’s suppose to be a huge big, flooding, crazy-weather-gone-wild storm to hit?? It just makes me think, what would someone do if they had a wedding planned and BAM! A hurricane hits? Because I’m sure people plan weddings during hurricane season all the time. Thank goodness this storm is hitting on a Tuesday and I doubt anyone is having a wedding then. But just how horrible would that be for someone?!

Anyway, keep watching the weather all you fellow Houstonians… and grab your water now, because if you’re like my friend Ondrea, then you may not be able to locate water, or understand where to find it. :)

Happy Singing in the Rain!
