I asked Rodney to send me a picture of him, since he’s been gone since Saturday and I want to see his handsome face. This is the picture I get today in my in box:

Monogram Cards from Lucky Designs!
Back in July, I won a set of personalized monogram cards from Southern Weddings and Lucky Designs.
I received these a few weeks ago and LOVE them, So very adorable. They are colors, Black and Green and have this on the front of them:

“Good Morning Ms. Curtis…”
This morning has been a bust. I wake up at 6:00am… YAWN! Too early! Too early! I had a 7:10 Dentist appointment. Which is about 10 minutes from my house.
I jump in the car, head to the Dentist and traffic is crazy packed, who gets up this early??? Get to the Dentist, “Good Morning Ms. Curtis, we need to reschedule….” long story… sigh. That’s fine, at least I’ll be super early to the office. Yeaa!
Yeah right. That didn’t happen. Some major accident on the other side of Houston is backing up all the traffic on the North side. Holy COW! I was in traffic for a good solid hour + just creeping along…. Not really moving… just sitting… pondering… I thought about quite a lot of things…That mostly went like this:
“how can I blog about my morning…”
“how many days till February?”
“why is that guy looking at me?”
“does he not see my to go away look?”
“I wonder what it’d be like to work from home?”
“Maybe I should have stayed home?”
“HONK HONK move you Duck! Quack-quack UGH!”
So after all that pondering and traffic fighting, I finally make it into work, re-calendar my new dentist appointment and sigh… It’s only Wednesday.
But the one thing that erases all of this morning and makes it forgetful, is know that my sweet Rodney is coming home from NY today. He’ll be here about 4:00pm and I’ll see him as soon as I leave work.
I’m SO excited. Absence does make the heart grow fonder.
