This morning I needed a extra boost of something good… so I decided to have some grass. Yum! Yum! Yum!

Rewind to Tuesday night…

my super sweet husband has been wanting to cook as of late and even found a recipe for lasagna. Yum!

He used a whole wheat pasta, ricotta, mozzarella, tomato & basil sauce and who knows what else. I was shooed out of the kitchen {he’s was acting like me}

Hubs made an appetizer since the lasagna would take a while to make. Tomato, mozzarella, balsamic & olive olive bruschetta…

Holy yumminess! You have NO idea… omg.

Dinner was READY and it looked amazing…

Hubs said it was about a 5 layer cheese lasagna.

Looks awesome huh!? I’m just glad I got my fitness on Tuesday and Wednesday to work that Italian off so good though!

The other day I went to the gym, and completely forgot my ipod at home. Eek!! And to add frustration on to this failed move, the TV plug thingy for your headphones was totally dead, and I HATE to treadmill hop. Ugh. So I was proud that I pounded out a 30 minute cardio session on the treadmill and then another 15 minutes on the Bike. YEA! No music at all, just the retard gym-rats that are trying to pick up a date for the weekend. Eh, it’s entertaining nonetheless.

So tell me, do you have to work out to music or do you prefer nothing?

Hello Darlings! It’s Works For Me Wednesday over at We Are That Family, be sure to hope on over and LINK UP with your Best Summer Recipes!

One side dish I absolutely LOVE is Sweet Potato fries with a yummy veggie burger. YUMMY! I found this recipe in my Biggest Loser FAMILY cookbook.

I took two Sweet Potatos…

peeled them, chopped them in half and then chopped them into small fry like sizes…

then I added some Olive Oil, paprika, black pepper, & sea salt. {The recipe also calls for cayenne and garlic powder, which I didn’t have, but you can add it as well}

I baked them at 425 degrees for 25 minutes. Didn’t want them too crispy…

You can turn the heat up if you want a crispier fry. The fries turned out amazing and I wish I would have taken a picture of them on my plate, but they were just too yummy and I forgot about my camera all together once these babies were ready!

So… we have an ANT problem. More like we’re housing Ants as of late. They are everywhere people, everywhere. I have no idea how these little creeps got into my house, but they’ve messed with the wrong chick.

Introducing my secret weapon!…

Bring it on ANTS!

This Ant killer should do the trick… you place the liquid on to a square piece of card board like thing and the ants are attracted to it {omg gives me shivers just thinking about it, ew} and the suckers the DIE!! {can you tell I’m over the ants?}

This was after a second of putting the stuff in my kitchen, see the little creepy ant in the left upper corner, yeah bring it on Ant!

Then after a few minutes we have this…

Ew ew ew!! It’s an ANT party!! I’ll keep you posted on the Ant drama. But enough of these creepies for now…

I decided I wanted some tasty Granola… So I hoped over to my Tube of Mix My Granola… and it was pretty much empty… hmm ants? nope! Husband. HE LOVES IT!! So if you decide to order some granola, make sure you have enough for TWO

On another note, the studying has begun for my Wholyfit certification. I need to get a couple books to go along with the course, here’s one that I’m looking for…

Fitness Professionals’ Guide to Musculoskeletal Anatomy and Human Movement

Anyone ever read it before? I’ve heard its really good and completely necessary for my certification. So I’m on the hunt for it… Amazon may be the cheapest place to get it? but I’m going to look at Barnes & Noble and Boarders too, just in case. I’m not too sure of any other book stores? Hmm, we’ll see.

And on to another random note, I got my Fitness magazine in the mail the other day…

They had a little blurb in there about a Half-Marathon and Marathon that took place in Central Park in New York City this past April. HOW COOL! Check it out here and here. How fun would that be to do a race in New York? Hmm maybe next year???
